my final thought on ssbl 1. if you are not a member of the community you are writing for and that community tells you what you did is offensive, its offensive full stop. 2. that fic has been the authors poorly disguised homophobia since wayyy before now. probably since chap 1. idk how the idea of a non gay man writing about this subject didnt make more people uncomfortable, but now many of you are saying after the fact that you has gotten weird feelings before and still pushed through. you should not do that. 3. the slur used has been confirmed by many mexican and mexican americans that is is extremely popular and theres slim to no chance the author did not understand the implications. 4. the fic is clearly not satire. especially when the author is making jokes outside of the fic. its not the characters internalised homophobia, either. stop defending it saying it is.
