I have kept this story bottled up in me for a couple of years, and I will not rest until I have told it, Paul Hutcheon, the political editor of the Daily Record, was given the addresses of certain individuals who had joined the then Alba Party. One guy in particular was an ex-SNP member who became an online critic of them, but because of circumstances, his address was private, although the SNP knew the address. One day there was a knock on his door and when he answered, a young woman claiming to be a crime reporter for the Record asked him to comment on an incident from 1967 for which he was imprisoned keeping in mind this was 2024! He left Scotland in 1974 eventually joining the Foreign Legion and returned in 1983, hoping to start a new life. To sum up this story the SNP had contacted Hutcheon, who then proceeded to headline anyone with a ''skeleton'' in the cupboard and use it to attack the Alba Party. Hutcheon was confronted with this guy on the phone through Messenger when Hutcheon agreed, under threat of being sued if he ran the story, to withdraw it from the next day's headline. Although he had headlined another guy the previous week, it was the rancid, corrupt SNP who wanted to attack the Alba Party Hutcheon was complicit in the attack on the Alba Party because the SNP was donating funds to the Daily Record at that time.
