The journey began on 17 December 2025, when Soqucoin launched pSOQ on Solana. The Layer 1 was still in build.
The protocol was designed by a USAF veteran and cybersecurity engineer who had spent more than two decades in combat communications, defense contracting, and enterprise security. The target was a Scrypt proof-of-work chain with AuxPoW from genesis and NIST ML-DSA-44 signatures in place of ECDSA. No premine. No team allocation. Every coin is mined.
Halborn completed its node and architecture assessment in April 2026 and published the reports on 20 April. The review covered the Dilithium integration, batch verification, wallet cryptography, and AuxPoW. All 30 findings, 10 issues and 20 informational items, were remediated before stagenet.
Since the pSOQ launch, the same team has shipped the surrounding stack.
-PQCAT scans code, certificates, and infrastructure for quantum-vulnerable cryptography and scores it against federal and industry frameworks.
-SOQUPOOL is the official merge-mining pool. One Scrypt workload pays LTC, DOGE, and native SOQ. The fee is 1.5% before mainnet and 1.69% after.
-SOQ-TEC is the gateway to convert your pSOQ to SOQ. Releases soon after its Halborn Security audit.
-SoquShield is the self-custodial wallet. Keys are generated on the device and never leave it. Every spend is signed with ML-DSA-44.
-Twenty provisional patent applications cover the protocol, privacy design, wallets, and compliance tooling.
Testnet ran through the winter of 2025–26. Stagenet is the current operational network.
Mainnet block 1 is scheduled for 8 October 2026.
