A New York jury just awarded $2 MILLION to a young woman who underwent a double mastectomy at 16 and later detransitioned. The jury found her psychologist and surgeon liable for malpractice. Her case alleged that serious mental-health issues, including depression, body dysmorphia, anorexia and autism-spectrum traits, were not adequately addressed before an irreversible procedure was performed on a minor.
