Joint Statement from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Education: Important News for Israel’s Education System: The Ministry of Education and Intel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance STEM education and artificial intelligence in Israel’s education system. This initiative was made possible following the participation of the Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu, in the international conference “Fostering the Future Together”, initiated by US First Lady Melania Trump for the wives of world leaders. The conference was held in Washington in March 2026 and focused on artificial intelligence and its impact on children and young people. The Ministry of Education and Intel yesterday (Thursday, 24 September 2026) signed a cooperation agreement to advance education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as artificial intelligence, throughout Israel’s education system. The agreement was signed as part of Fostering the Future Together, the international initiative launched by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, with the initiative in Israel being led by the Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu. The signing ceremony took place yesterday in New York in the presence of the Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu; Minister of Education Yoav Kisch; representatives of the White House; and senior Intel executives. As part of the collaboration, mentoring programs in which Intel employees support students and educators will be expanded, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence and STEM education. The parties will promote initiatives to integrate artificial intelligence into technological education programs, provide mentors for teachers and students, and expand joint activities in schools and local authorities. Cooperation will also continue through the STARTCUP championship. Following last school year’s competition, four winning Israeli projects were selected to be showcased at Intel’s global Artificial Intelligence Festival. Fostering the Future Together is an international coalition established by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump. The initiative seeks to empower children in the digital age and help parents protect their children from online risks. It focuses on four key areas: artificial intelligence in education, technological tools for education, digital literacy, and online safety. Ofek Moalem in a tragic incident in Gaza yesterday. Nadav and Ofek, of blessed memory, were brave reserve soldiers who defended Israel's security. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today, with Argentinian President Javier Milei @JMilei on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Prime Minister thanked President Milei for his steadfast and unconditional support for the State of Israel, and congratulated him on receiving the "Defender of Israel" award from the Darchei Torah Yeshiva in New York. The two leaders discussed continued cooperation between their countries and the positive strategic shift for Israel taking place in Latin America, which makes possible the expansion of the "Isaac Accords", led by President Milei, to deepen security and economic cooperation between Israel and the countries of Latin America. Prime Minister Netanyahu congratulated the Slovenian Prime Minister on the opening of the Israeli embassy in Ljubljana and thanked him for his steadfast support for Israel, which has led to a turnaround in bilateral relations. The two leaders discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Prime Minister Netanyahu invited his counterpart to visit Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address the UN General Assembly in New York this evening at 21:00 (Israel time). During his visit, the Prime Minister will meet with the presidents of Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Panama, and Ethiopia, the Vice President of Colombia, and the prime ministers of Greece, Slovenia, and Papua New Guinea. Many world leaders requested to meet with the Prime Minister during the visit, but due to a tight schedule and the need to return before the onset of Sukkot, the Prime Minister was only able to accommodate some of them.

Before departing for the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went this evening to Shaare Zedek Medical Center and visited the family of Neria Leiter, who was very seriously injured in the terrorist attack that took place today. Prime Minister Netanyahu asks the public to pray for the recovery of Neria Dov ben (son of) Chana.

Joint Statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz: A short while ago in Khan Younis, the IDF eliminated Hamas terrorist organization finance department head Muhammad Abu Alwan. The Prime Minister and Defense Minister commend the IDF and the ISA for this precise operation and for their aggressive action to thwart our enemies. We will continue to hunt down Hamas commanders and operatives, target its sources of funding, and destroy its terrorist infrastructure. We will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength, nor will we stop until Hamas no longer exists in Gaza.
