This experiment shows is that an idea is important, but the execution is the essential part. I've been saying for years that distribution is the moat. Your success should be proof that creativity is still alive and well, and to never underestimate the value of something beautifully simple and what humans will do to compete. The next few years of where technology goes is going to be fascinating - I think we will see more and more novelty being prioritized because that spark of - woah thats cool - will be capturing for humans - when AI's start doing that (we saw the emerging behavior last week with Grok-4.6 being amazed at a sub-1000 early user on github) things will really start to get wild. What does this mean for people with ideas? I'm still figuring that out - but for certain it means that building an audience that cares about you and your success more than just the thing you offer or sell matters - at least for humans - I wonder if and how it will matter in the same ways for AI agents. Will credibility matter? How will credibility be formed? If AI's use tokens to evaluate credibility what is the threshold for DIY versus evaluation of credibility?
