✝️ 24 | Christ is King | Apologetics | Aspiring Historian Sola Scriptura: Scripture alone is the highest authority Sola Fide: Salvation by faith alone Sola Gratia: Salvation by grace alone Solus Christus: Christ alone is mediator and savior Soli Deo Gloria: Glory to God alone 1 Corinthians 13:1-3: "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." (Pinned Tweet)

There’s a huge difference between allowing Scripture to form your beliefs and using it to justify beliefs you’ve already formed. I think about that difference almost every day as I scroll through Twitter.

Evangelism isn’t about winning a debate. It’s about introducing sinners to the Savior they desperately need.

“Do not waste time bothering whether you ‘love’ your neighbor; act as if you do, and you will presently come to love him.” - C.S. Lewis

“The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us.” - C.S. Lewis

BROOO IT'S US

Maybe no one noticed you chose forgiveness over bitterness. But God did.

God’s standard isn’t “be better than most people.” It’s "You must be perfect." (Matthew 5:48) You and I haven't met the standard, but Jesus has on our behalf if you'd believe.

We pursue holiness because we belong to Christ, not to convince Him to accept us.

That sin that you're thinking of committing right now? Or the one that's been hanging there in your mind, ready to take over? Push back. Pray. FLEE! I know it's hard, but by the power of the Spirit, you can fight. Be strong. Don't give in.

“If I profess with the loudest voice and the clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christianity. Where the battle rages, the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

You don’t have to tell the world every time you have an opinion about something. In fact, holding your tongue (or deleting that tweet draft) can also be an act of worship—a way to build patience, show grace, and even open doors.

“God has infinite attention to spare for each one of us. You are as much alone with him as if you were the only being he had ever created.” - C.S. Lewis

“When you are arguing against God you are arguing against the very power that makes you able to argue at all.” - C.S. Lewis

I will not compromise my faith to "own the libs." Without Christ, Liberals and Conservatives are both evil.

Don't praise God with your mouth while denying Him with your life.
