If we’ve reached the point where we have to mutilate the product just to keep it in the hands of fans, the hobby is in serious trouble. This isn't a solution; it’s a symptom. And it’s only going to get uglier. Valid move or total desperation?

During these holidays thousands of people shopped, and stores bought back booster boxes, futuristic boxes etc. and sold them back on the market with a premium. BUT why do we need to buy with a premium? - Pull rates are known, the card list is complete, no more surprises. - FOMO won’t last forever. Same with hype. - It’s true the market is very liquid and we saw a major rotation of capital into 30th Anniversary (see 151 prices now), but lots of you underestimated a) supply, b) liquidity of families. - now that most made peak money by selling back and riding the hype wave where do you think price will go? I know where they are going. WE DON’T NEED TO SPEND LIFE SAVINGS ON POKÉMON. Yes, it’s a beautiful set with beautiful cards and lots of nostalgia for those who, like me, have been in Pokémon since 1996. Just wait a little, folks. Storm Emeralda was exact proof of what happened and what is happening. It will take time for this set to become worth good money. But that moment is not now. Now it’s time to dump and enjoy the set like we are supposed to. More will dump. Just have patience.
