Courts repeatedly blocked that effort. trump has tested the boundaries of American freedom from both directions—denying due process to immigrants and attempting to place new federal barriers between eligible citizens and the ballot box. A government that can decide SOME people deserve fewer rights, will eventually decide whose rights matter at all. And the damage does not stop at our shores. America’s standing has fallen across many allied nations, where confidence in both the United States and its so called “leadership” has sharply declined. Civil, intelligent people may debate policies. They may disagree about parties. But NO President is the law, NO “movement” outranks the Constitution, and NO political leader should EVER become more important than the republic itself. Democracy rarely dies with a declaration.
