A small reminder of the evil that Hamas engaged in...
Here, Tsachi Idan, the father, held the safe room door shut when the Hamas gunmen reached the house. The eldest daughter, Maayan, got up to help keep the door shut. The attackers shot through the door and hit her, and she died beside him.
The gunmen entered and made the mother, Gali, the father, and the two younger children sit on the floor. The father's hands were still covered in his daughter's blood. One of the attackers took the mother's phone and live-streamed them on their Facebook for more than 20 minutes. This video is a portion of that live stream.
After tormenting them for an undisclosed amount of time, the attackers took the father hostage and took him to Gaza. On December 4th 2023, he was murdered by Hamas. His body was returned to Israel on Feb. 27, 2025, and buried next to Maayan at Kibbutz Einat.
This is just one of many stories from Oct 7th, and it was hardly the worst. Over 1200 dead, 251 hostages. These are the kinds of terrorists that people like Hasan Piker often praise.
As much as I am not a fan of Israel meddling in American politics, I can't blame the Israelis for decimating Gaza. If the US had a hostile neighbor like Hamas on the southern border and caused the same kind of mass-casualty event, the destruction would have been far worse.
We used nukes against Japan, firebombed their cities, and decimated the country in response to Pearl Harbor... and I think it was justified.
They just watched their daughter and sister be murdered.
