Disabled People, Check Your NHS Reasonable Adjustments From 30 September, publicly funded NHS, health and social-care services in England must be able to read, write and share information through the Reasonable Adjustment Digital Flag. That could include things like wheelchair access, longer appointments, priority appointments, accessible information or needing a quieter waiting environment. The whole point is that disabled people shouldn't have to start from scratch explaining their needs every single time they access healthcare. But a digital flag is only useful if the information recorded on it is actually right. So ask your GP or healthcare professional: What reasonable adjustments do you have recorded for me? Reasonable adjustments aren't favours. They're a legal requirement. #ReasonableAdjustments #NHS #DisabilityRights #Accessibility #DisabledPeople #EqualityAct #HealthcareAccessibility #Disability #AccessibleHealthcare #DisabilityAwareness
