We just recorded this week’s edition of WHIO Reports - it’s all about all things @WrightPattAFB. My thanks to 88th ABW Commander, Col. Patrick Miller, as well as Jeff Hoagland (@Hoag8) and Elaine Bryant from @daytonregion for joining us! Sunday morning at 11:30 @whiotv.
So thankful to have the support of my great WHIO-TV colleagues led by Cheryl McHenry and James Brown as I move to retirement. Cheryl has a story about my 33 years at the station coming up at 5 pm today.
If it wasn’t for Bill Cohen, I would have never landed at the Statehouse. It was great to learn from the best in the business.
And all these years later, so thankful that the Statehouse Bureau is today the gold standard for broadcast coverage of Statehouses nationwide.
And another note of appreciation: our Ohio Public Radio and TV Statehouse News Bureau of @joingles, @andy_chow, @stateofohioshow and I would likely not be here doing this if it weren't for @JOtteWHIO and our retired colleague Bill Cohen, who helped start it back in 1980
After 43 years in the news business, including 39 years covering the Ohio Statehouse and 33 years at WHIO-TV I am officially retired starting today. Thanks so much to everyone who helped me along the way of this incredible journey.
.@DaytonMBB news from the inbox: Mustapha Amzil and Toumani Camara have been named Preseason 3rd Team All-Atlantic 10. Also, the Flyers were picked to finish 5th in the A-10’s preseason poll. @WHIORadio
They’re here! I’m beyond excited and honored to be holding these two golden ladies. A lot of hard work went into reaching this goal. (1/2) #OhioValleyEmmy
Water main break on Cohasset Dr. in Huber Heights. Looks like they got the water turned off. Hearing several people in the area don’t have water. @whiotv
I’d say WHIO had a successful day at the SPJ award ceremony! 12 awards total. I took first place for Best Education Issues Reporting. Congratulations @whiotv team!
At Bethel High this morning in Mr. Bescoe’s history class. They’re learning about 9/11. How kids are learning about this piece of history today at 12 and 5. @whiotv
Mad River students are back in the classroom today. Their mask policies changed just yesterday. I’m walking you through those changes along with what other districts are doing on @whiotv
