What about the lithium to make the cathode? Is it coming from the Tesla lithium processing plant?

The lithium goes into the electrolyte solution not the cathode itself. It will migrate between the anode and cathode during use and recharge. The lithium plant is producing lithium powder for use, but I don’t know how much.

The post confirms where the cathode material was made, but it doesn’t specify the lithium feedstock source — that’s a separate part of the supply chain
