𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀” 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵: 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘆𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 Binyamin Regional Council Spokesperson: An olive harvest event in Deir Jarir is planned for tomorrow in cooperation with the “Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission,” with the participation of what were described as “international activists.” The council is calling on law enforcement and security authorities to prevent the provocation in advance. The Binyamin Regional Council is warning of a provocation planned for tomorrow, Wednesday, under cover of an olive harvest in Deir Jarir. An invitation published by the village council calls on residents, particularly young people, to arrive at 8:30 a.m., alongside international activists and representatives of ministries and institutions. The event is being organized in cooperation with the “Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission,” a body affiliated with the PLO. The council emphasizes that the identity of the partners and the recruitment of activists from abroad indicate the political purpose behind the event. The Binyamin Regional Council makes clear: the invitation is to Deir Jarir. If headlines emerge tomorrow about a clash in the “Taybeh area,” it is worth remembering where the event was scheduled and who is organizing it. The name of the nearby Christian village must not be used to obscure the circumstances of what takes place. The council notes that Israeli far left activists have been working to inflame tensions over the past week. Footage received shows two well-known left-wing activists arriving with photographers and Arab activists at a closed military zone in Abu Falah and blocking security routes. The council warns that behind the label “peace activists” lies an attempt to provoke friction, film the response of residents and security forces, and portray those who initiated the confrontation as victims. The Binyamin Regional Council stated: “We call on all law enforcement and security authorities: you all have intelligence capabilities; you all have Facebook and Instagram. No one is hiding the intention to instigate this provocation. The location is known, and the time is known. Now is the time to act and prevent the unrest before it happens.” (The published invitation to the “harvest” activity is attached.) 𝗝𝗦𝗥 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺
