ALT Hey 👋🏻 I don’t usually reply to hate comments but I feel the need to educate after my performance on The Last Leg tonight. I knew that moving my legs, whilst in a wheelchair, was going to havoc for some viewers and was a risky move. I also knew The Last Leg was the programme to be my true disabled self and not be afraid of what I can, and can’t do. 1/3rd of wheelchair users are ambulatory, meaning they are able to get out of their chair, which is like myself. So many are scared of even adjusting their legs because of the judgement and I don’t think anyone should be afraid of doing what works for them 🫶🏻
