Much Cooler Today in the Twin Cities compared to yesterday's temperatures in the 70s and dew point temperatures in the mid 60s. The air yesterday had higher humidity from tropical storm activity off the coast of Mexico but now a Cold Front from Canada has pushed Cooler and air with much lower humidity into Minnesota. Skies will be Mainly Cloudy until 4 p.m. then Partly Cloudy after 4 p.m. and Clear after 7 p.m. which will lead to a Chilly night with Patchy Frost possible from St.Cloud and Pine City and points north. Part of the upcoming Weekend in the Twin Cities will be Dry while most of Saturday will be Wet. Today and Tonight for High School Football Games will be Dry with temperatures in the 60s then Rain moves back into the area after 11 a.m. Saturday and will continue until about 5 a.m. Sunday with .25" of Rainfall in most areas but any embedded T-Storms Saturday night could bump Rainfall up to .50" in spots especially near Minnesota/Iowa border. Peeks of Sun this morning have allowed temperatures in the Twin Cities to climb into the upper 60s as of Noon but temperatures will fall back to the low 60s late this afternoon with the Rain Cooled Air. Rain will approach the Twin Cities from the southwest after 1 p.m. and should move into western Wisconsin closer to about 2:30 p.m. Rainfall will be widespread this afternoon and evening but Rainfall Amounts will only be about .10" to .20" by early Friday morning. Rain will become Scattered Showers late Tonight then Sprinkles by Friday morning. Areas of Fog will develop early Friday morning but Friday will be nice in the afternoon with Mix of Clouds and Sun and highs around 70 degrees. Fall Colors Today up at Lutsen Mountain getting close to Peaking and should be Peaking this weekend (Sep 26/27).
