For decades, FGM was protected in East Africa because "it鈥檚 our culture." Today, "Kill the Boer" is protected because "it鈥檚 a struggle song." At some point, we have to admit that "culture" isn't a blank check to ignore human rights or dehumanize others. Standards must change. 馃嚳馃嚘
