I just saw a bit of your story on the BBC website. I’m a heart warrior. I’m 55 now and I had my hole in the heart surgery at 7 years old. Being a zipper is something to be proud of. You should be very proud of your little girl. Wishing her a lifetime of good health now ❤️

As someone who went through open heart surgery at the age of 33 to replace my aortic valve with a mechanical one, I think it’s amazing you and your wife and family have become ambassadors to The British Heart Foundation. ❤️

Anyone at any age can have potentially life threatening heart problems, If it wasn’t for my GP doctor finding it and getting me the urgent treatment I needed, and of course everyone at @JubileeHospital I wouldn’t of been here today! ❤️

That is incredible. You really are super Jack Wilshire. I am organising a football charity day/family day in memory of my Dad who sadly passed away last year with heart failure on Sat 8th June. Our charity is BHF. Be great if you could make it.

Both my daughters were born with VSD’s. My eldest had open heart surgery at 13 weeks as the hole was so large. She is 20 studying Sports & Exercise Science at Uni & 1st team hockey player. She has a leaky aortic valve but is so fit requires no medication. I am so proud & grateful

Well done guys! My wife and I found out at our 20 week scan that our baby, Cooper, has Tetralogy of Fallot. We knew nothing about congenital heart defects but have learned quickly. He’s due in August, once he’s fit and healthy I’ll be fundraising for @GreatOrmondSt & @TheBHF 💪❤️

I am all in Jack .. my daughter at the age of just 4 months went through something similar, although she is permanently disabled, today at 33 is is just a beautiful young lady

Well done Jack. We’ve been there and know exactly how you and your wife feel. Our son had two congenital heart conditions, one of them a hole in the heart, and both now repaired. He is now active and plays football. 😁👏👏

Finally, congenital heart conditions - not acquired ones - are highlighted! I have truncus arteriosus. 6 operations later (Born with a hole in 1982 & so from the “golden generation”) I’m still here. Mine was discovered after I was sent home! & on an x-ray 😂 WD, Siena 💪 ❤️

Our daughter had lifesaving heart surgery at 5 days (weighed 4 lb) and is having further keyhole heart procedures and surgery again in a few months. It’s really tough, but reading and hearing what others have gone through helps. All the very best to you, Adriani and Siena.
