Jackson EMC linemen worked overnight to restore power to more than 14,000 members affected by last night’s severe weather. A powerful line of thunderstorms swept through our service area, bringing high winds and heavy rainfall that caused damage to our distribution system. Storm Update ⛈️ Jackson EMC crews have made significant progress restoring power to members affected by a line of strong thunderstorms that swept through our service area tonight, bringing high winds and heavy rain. The storms caused widespread damage, including downed trees, broken poles and fallen power lines.
