The evolution of the air rifle coming from what they were to the weapons that are available today, along with the ability of convicted felons to possess them, put them in the crosshairs of the 2A haters. The success of the recent suppressor victories incentivized the blue spectrum to counter against a group of weapons even more quiet than most suppressed firearms. Not surprised, just angry.
