Sounds like the vet is in the way of some money being made.

Yes, but that’s been obvious for 20 years. What’s changed?

Not sure…if this was done years ago it would’ve been much cheaper

Well that and the budgets have gotten tighter. Especially at the state level. Any way for them to increase revenue while also being racist would be a win win

I don’t wanna hear nothing about this til we breaking ground… until then it’s just talk as always (but this sounds more promising than anything before)

Agreed on that end. As I said to Kodi, they need to show us the plan/location and we can debate on whether it’s a good one or not. Also, I don’t think there’s can be an on campus stadium w/o taking something important away from said spot

My thought was to put it where the practice field is and find a new home for tennis, baseball, & softball.

But see even that is gonna take a lot of convincing and support bc that impacts Walter Payton and folks not really going for that. It took a lot to get Walter Payton in place. Finding somewhere else to practice won’t be the worst thing but impacting other sports…i dunno

Maybe they could connect the new facility to the Peyton without demolishing it. As for the other sports, if I had to choose, Its a tough choice and feeling would be hurt, but if necessary I’d rather baseball, tennis, & softball be played off campus than football.

IF it happens before someone is seriously injured…it will be downtown

I’ve heard the previous proposal was to put it next to the convention center. I guess like this with parking?
