Presidential Candidate in 2013. Integrity, Community Empowerment and transformative leadership.

I am happy that Raila’s children are daring to keep the family’s political light alive. Winnie and Raila Junior fly high and higher! It is in your DNA! Destiny beckons!

Recent utterances and allegations of previously rigged Presidential elections shine a bright light to @IEBCKenya - why are we incapable of truth? We must get to bottom of what really happened in recent elections and bring to an end this evil practice. Very discomforting coming just ten months away to the next General Election!

I am convinced the generation that heralds the future for this country is before our own eyes! @edwinsifuna and team fly the flag high and boldly push forth. Power is NOT given, it is TAKEN! I am inspired to see Kenya’s youth and youthful Leaders define and stand up to the greatest and singular call of their generation.

We are sliding down the path of of failed states with our eyes wide open - if this is NOT stopped, the country will reach a point of no return. Where was the state when Homa Bay- Kisumu highway got blocked? Who can block a highway and police do nothing? Some things simply don’t add up. Whatever the case, GOONISM, VIOLENCE or what form of INTOLERANCE must end NOW, not tomorrow!

The country belongs to all. The spirit of the Constitution is INCLUSIVITY. What has consistently undermined our politics is control by a small clique, CARTELS - who surround the seat of power and see everyone as an enemy of the system. LINDA MWANANCHI SHOULD deliberately seek to debunk these false dichotomies. Our supreme law offers principles and underpinnings of good governance.

We can’t hold development because of conservation -says PS Environment, Climate Change and Forestry. AND You can’t have meaningful development without environmental protection. They go together. That is why WE talk of sustainable development!

When pro-Government politicians accuse Rigathi Gachagua of tribalism, I just laugh! Which politician is not a tribalist? When Luo leaders want to make a political statement, they don’t go do it in Machakos but in Nyanza. Kenya is made of tribes whose leaders want a share of the national cake for their people. It is why voting in Kenya is build around tribal blocks. It will always be that way.

Political hooliganism and intolerance are taking root in this country - as manifested by events of today. Such portend troubling signs going to 2027! Unless stopped quickly these vices are likely to spiral and take a life of their own.

Elections are the only civil way of bringing Governments and people’s representatives into office. No one should mess with this cardinal civic responsibility. Don’t make Ol Kalau By-Elections a farce.@IEBCKenya, where are you? Stand to be counted and deliver a fearlessly impartial by election!

I am very positive that if given a chance Martha Karua, would make a great President because she knows what ails the country and she would take corruption head on. Kenya’s undoing is people using public off to enrich themselves, and getting away with it!

I am shocked to learn of the demise of my former Member of Parliament for Kilgoris, Hon. Col. Gideon S. Konchella. Hon. Konchella was a good, calmly person and created an atmosphere of peace for the people of Transmara West, and indeed Narok County. My deepest condolences to to his wife and children, the entire Konchella family, and community at large.

EDUCATION in Kenya faces constant challenges because of faulty fundamentals long overdue for an overhaul. The notion that unless one joins a few elite schools - you can count them - one’s access to higher education is curtailed from the start. Hence, we pack thousands of kids in already crammed boarding facilities as long as they attend those schools. We need to build, and nurture quality schools spread across the country. Why are we stuck with boarding schools? What informs continued expansion of university education even when existing ones are grossly underfunded? Let us reimagine a 21st century education, holistic and requiring a whole of society approach!
