Thanks to @CRS_Lawyers for hosting The Family Law Debate. An excellent evening. @JamesTurner37 and Kate Ozwell of @1kbwChambers enjoyed participating in lively debates on hot topics in financial remedies.
This is so unhinged I searched their new head of branding, Santino Pietrosanti & came across this video of him warning us about exactly what he was going to do. Five minutes of the most unbearable woke nonsense you've ever heard, well worth a listen.
What on earth do they think they are doing at Jaguar Cars, with what seems to me to be not only a completely unnecessary piece of re-branding but also counter-productive. Who doesn’t love the existing Jaguar images?
You have amplified appeals to emotion, not to reason. You have restricted replies to your posts other than this one. You are promoting hugely consequential legislation with inadequate preparation and inadequate opportunity for Parliamentary scrutiny. This Bill should not pass
Here's my quick thread on the most salient provisions of the Leadbeater assisted suicide bill. I'm sorry if I've missed anything, but if she hadn't dropped a 12,000 word bill on everyone on a Monday night so close to the debate we may have had more time to scrutinise it.
Less than 3 weeks before it's due to be debated, Kim Leadbeater MP has finally published the text of her assisted suicide bill. It's 38 pages long, has 43 clauses and 6 schedules. MPs will have a maximum of five hours to debate it. bills.parliament.uk/bills/37…
Really illuminating interview by @siennamarla with Alex Ruck Keene KC on legal concerns about lack of safeguards on assisted dying.
