Only a handful of big corporations control the pricing and sale of insulin, a drug which can be the difference between life or death for many Floridians.
We won’t stand by while drug manufacturers and PBM’s coordinate to inflate drug prices for patients in need.
Today, we took legal action against Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, and the nation’s largest pharmacy benefit managers for inflating the price of insulin.
They told Florida families they were working to make insulin affordable. That was false. Patients who cannot live without this medicine were left to pay the price. We are holding them accountable.

I know @JamesUthmeierFL as a dad and a friend. I work with him now as Florida’s Commissioner of @EducationFL. Those two facts are not separate. They are the same job.
I can’t protect the innocence of Florida’s children if the man at the top of the law is soft on predators, soft on pornographers, or soft on the tech companies that put filth in a child’s pocket. James is none of those things.
Education can set standards. Education can remove books, apps, adults, or even teachers from campuses or schools. It can’t arrest the man on the other side of the screen, or the teacher who violated their sacred oath to protect & educate the most vulnerable.
For that we need an Attorney General who treats the innocence of a child as non-negotiable.
Florida already has that man. Keep him.
