I’ve always said, referees should be held to the same standards as players. They should have to face the media and answer for their mistakes after a game like this. Face the music. Don’t run and hide.

To the people taking offense to the this, I said nothing about if it was the right call are not. I have zero dog in the fight, other than my genuine deep hate for refs. At best it was a 50/50 call. I would have much rather seen the players decide it, not a line judge.

The ref should have to explain himself and answer tough questions. Everyone who has a major impact on the game has too, except them!

The corner said it was a hold. Case closed.

I don’t think I’m missing the point at all, you disagree. If all you would’ve said was that refs should have to answer postgame questions, no issue. It’s when you throw in “answer for their mistakes” and retweet “terrible call” that’s where my comment came in. All good ✌️

Respect, but my point really isn’t about the final call. Agree or not it was simply the catalyst for my comment. They have just as much impact on the game as players and coaches. They should have to answer tough questions.
