👉 Esports Fans ✍️ One of the most popular questions I received at the BLAST Austin Major was "how can I help support the scene or contribute in any way?" One way we can ALL contribute to the growth of the ecosystems we love is to better support the SPONSORS. I fear over time our global community has drifted away from rabid support of companies that help fund the esports we're passionate about. I've been in dozens of sponsor conversations over the past 9 months and many (most?) companies feel the esports demographic is not worthy of their marketing dollars. This makes it even more critical for us to loyally engage the brands that do support us. How can you help? 1⃣ Making a purchase decision? If the brand doesn't support esports (and their competitor does) then speak with your wallet. 2⃣ Use your social media voice to engage with companies that support your favorite leagues, teams, players, etc. (Let them know you bought their product because of the sponsorship. Be generous with thank you's. Doesn't cost us anything to do this.) 3⃣ Use esports related affiliate links whenever possible. Brands track this data so if you're going to buy something try to find an affiliate link. It wasn't long ago esports fans were known for passionately engaging with brands that fuel our ecosystem. I’m just an old man who’s been blessed enough to ride alongside you.
