NFL fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in an offensive demonstration Sunday vs. Miami. “Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter. Juszczyk, nicknamed “Juice”, already has appealed the fine.

Eagles going with Cam Jurgens at Guard and Drew Kendall at Center because of Landon Dickerson being placed on IR. Normally I’m not a fan of shifting 2 guys for an injury, but I do understand this one. This isn’t an off the bench in game decision, Landon will be out for a number of games minimum. Cam has been a starter at guard before in this league (even though it’s RG), and at a good level. Kendall has played more center than guard, and should feel more comfortable there. Definitely what I’m going to be watching early to see how it’s going.
It’s a huge test for whoever plays guard this week, Jeffery Simmons is no joke, one of the best DTs in the league easily. I would heavily lean toward sliding to him. I don’t expect to see much blitz if any from Saleh, that isn’t his style at all, and Simmons’ comments earlier this week with the “make Jalen Hurts play QB” essentially tells you the plan. This isn’t going to be some exotic defense or blitz package, They’re going to mix up zone coverages, push the pocket, keep Jalen in the pocket by maintaining rush lanes, and try to beat the Eagles rushing four predominantly.

Completely agree!! For the record, I think Dlineman should be allowed to do this. This is football, that’s a great game by Washington. But I should also be allowed to decleat a mother fucker on a blind side block as long as I don’t hit him in the head or low. And I’ve made this analogy for years. It’s okay for a defensive player to hit me when I’m not looking, but not the other way around, HYPOCRICY!!!

They were blocking the 5 guys on the line of scrimmage to start, 2 of those guys dropped, The RG applied back when his guy looped out to the tackle, the center applied left when his guy dropped. The LG is blocking “his man” with the other 3 as a result, he could have redirected maybe a touch sooner, but the blitzers were already well past him. It’s also a 5 man protection, so unless Herbert pulls a crazy call out of his ass because he knows for sure this blitz is coming he’s going to be hot.

If the call was a sort to the left, even though the centers guy was head up on the line, which we have done, that could speed the left guard redirecting to one of the blitzers, but they still would be hot from Budda. You could argue the Left Tackle should squeeze this because it’s 5 man protection, but again they would still be hot.
