This school year, I plan to connect one bop a week to a book in our library & make a Tik Tok video for my followers. Each graphic will have a book suggestion, additional knowledge on the book, & the song/lyrics. Shout out to @keyairruh for the concept. Here is the first one.

New title: Madam President of the Michigan Council of Teachers of English
I am honored to take on this role and to be the first Black president in 102 years. My goal: expand educators' anti-racist & anti-bias work + open doors for marginalized folks
to be leaders.

If your edu loved one is sleeping for hours, leave them alone. We are in a healing process. Educators are still trying to recover from pandemic teaching, so just let us sleep. The past four years have weighed heavy on us.

Iβm an award-winning teacher in a system designed not to celebrate Black and brown folks. I win because the ancestors did the heavy lifting, and Iβm in Godβs favor. Greatness is me and that will never be changed, no matter what haters wish upon me.

Went to OB & told her I had pain similar to when I had my female issues. She told me they didn't show in my results of surgery from A YEAR AGO, plus refused to renew my pain meds. Begged my NP to help me. Did an ultrasound...2 ovarian cysts & 3 fibroids. Was transferred to UM.
What is the most ableist thing a doctor or nurse has ever said to you? #DisabilityTwitter

Does anyone elseβs mom insist on giving exact change when she buys anything? I mean, any change. It can be .99, and she starts digging in her bag.

I had my 1st panic attack after my 10th surgery. Other events have been triggers:
Covid
George Floyd
Return to school
Dadβs stroke
I just had another one because of the pressures with family.
I wish the world could understand how much these attacks break my soul little by little.
