While processing the scene, investigators recovered what they believe are DETAL REMAINS. Authorities still haven't said how April or her baby d*ed. They identified one suspect, his name is DeMarcus Kenneth Johnson-Wright, he's 41. This was not some first-time offender. According to police, when they identified him he ALREADY had an extensive violent criminal history. And SEVERAL outstanding violent felony warrants out of Tennessee. Violent felonies. PLURAL. 🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Washington mother wrecked her car, got out and attacked her own CHILDREN WITH A KNIFE... ...then 2 United States SOLDIERS who happened to be passing by jumped out, TACKLED HER TO THE GROUND, AND TOOK THE KNIFE!!!! The girls are 9 and 15 years old. On Monday morning, just before 9 a.m., she was heading south on I-5 near DuPont. Troopers say she was driving erratically and she hit the left barrier, swerved across the freeway to the right shoulder, swerved BACK left and slammed into a SEMI TRUCK, and hit the barrier AGAIN. Then the SUV rolled over MULTIPLE TIMES. Somehow, all three of them climbed out. Then, according to witnesses, that's when she pulled a KNIFE on the two girls. But two uniformed JBLM soldiers were driving by, they didn't film it, they didn't keep driving. They pulled over and RAN TOWARD IT. They tackled her to the ground and TOOK THE KNIFE out of her hand. The 9-year-old girl was hurt badly, with BROKEN BONES and a ST*B WOUND. The 15-year-old thankfully has no serious injuries. Both girls are in stable condition. Thank God. The WSP sergeant on the case said that if those soldiers hadn't stepped in, "we can assume the worst." Troopers say she'll be booked on suspicion of DUI, vehicular assault, and FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT once she's released. Please pray for that little girl. And thank God for those two soldiers. The father's name was John Donat, he was 58 years old. He was a former chef, originally from Ohio, who came to Texas about 10 years ago. He had battled drugs himself, police say he got sober and turned his life around, and John dedicated his life to helping people. He picked up food from the local food bank on Westheimer, cooked whatever he could, and handed it out outside the motel where he lived. Especially to people fighting the same demons he once fought. He was getting ready to move to South Carolina to be closer to family, but he never made it. On Wednesday, September 30th, at about 2:18 in the morning, John was in his Tahoe on Highway 6, handing food to a woman. Police say a man walked up to the passenger side and DEMANDED MONEY. John tried to drive away and he was SH0T in the neck. His Tahoe crashed through 2 fences and into a field, he passed away right there and then. Police caught the suspect nearby. His name is Otis Parks, he's a Black man that's 30 years old. In 2018, police say Parks ST*BBED a friend REPEATEDLY... after finding out his girlfriend's baby had diaper rash. He got 7 years in jail... out of a possible 20 years. While he sat in the Harris County Jail waiting to be shipped to prison, records show he was charged with FOUR MORE FELONIES. Assaulting jailers. Possessing contraband. And prosecutors DISMISSED every one of them. Their reason? "He was already serving time for the st*bbing." Zero extra days. Say his name. John Donat.
