It’s been a tough week, and I’m thankful to be back home by the river. The garden is spectacular, particularly the row of crab apple blossom. Enjoy your weekend.

Dylan has turned 12, and there’ll be parties all week. He already had one cake yesterday.. today’s is the second, with his cousin Rosie. Another big one on the weekend. We have plenty to celebrate. Do you think we spoil him?? … Absolutely.

We lost a good man this week. Angry Anderson sang from his heart with power and conviction. But don’t let that tough outside fool you. He was a caring soul who loved his family, cared for his friends and stood up for the downtrodden. As a Rock’n’nroll singer, he was as good as it gets. He took my son @iamjackiebarnes under his wing and they tore it up together. Rock in Peace my dear friend.

John Farnham and I first sang When Something Is Wrong With My Baby together back in 1991. It was such a pleasure to perform it again on Sunday night, this time alongside my daughter @mahaliabarnes and Diesel Music, celebrating my good friend John and supporting a great cause.

Our Ruby turns 17 tomorrow but we’ve started celebrating tonight. We’re in Melbourne for the ‘Songs of John Farnham’ concert this weekend. It’s an honour for us all to be a part of it. Happy birthday week Ruby.

The blossoms are powering, and it looks like we’ll have plenty of plums, peaches, and pears this year. The cumquats are ready to pick, so Jane will be busy making jam.

.@ellymaybarnes has had a tough year with chronic pain. She’s turned a big corner and it’s great to have her back in the pool with us. We had to swim extra laps today because of Jane’s Southern fried chicken.

We’re gearing up to do some more rock shows at the back end of this year. We’ll be at Sounds Of Rock in Townsville and the Moto GP in Phillip Island next month (October), then onto One Electric Day in Werribee in November, before we head over to Perth for a huge outdoor rock show to kick off the first weekend of Summer.
