🚨 CIRCLE & TETHER FREEZE $318K LINKED TO BITGET HACK According to CoinDesk, Circle and Tether have blacklisted an address labeled “Bitget Exploiter 8,” freezing: • 218,023 USDT • 99,990 USDC • Around $318,000 in total Circle took action at 05:00 UTC on September 25, and MistTrack later confirmed that Tether had also blacklisted the address. However, the frozen funds represent only a very small portion of the total stolen assets. MistTrack data shows that other addresses linked to the attacker still hold more than 63,000 ETH, which stablecoin issuers like Circle and Tether cannot freeze. Another example of how stablecoins can be frozen or controlled by their issuers, while decentralized assets like ETH cannot be frozen in the same way.

🚨 BITGET HACKED FOR $352M BUT SAYS “USER FUNDS ARE SAFE”? One of the biggest crypto security incidents this year has just happened. Bitget confirmed that around $351.6M in assets were affected by unauthorized transactions involving several hot wallets. A few things stand out: → Cold wallets are reportedly unaffected → User protection fund: >$464M → Trading & deposits remain active → Withdrawals were temporarily suspended for review In crypto, saying “user funds are safe” is only the beginning. What really matters is whether the exchange can prove it. What was the root cause? Which wallets were affected? Is the protection fund actually sufficient? When will withdrawals return to normal? Those are the numbers and facts worth watching after a hack. A large exchange doesn’t mean zero risk. The bigger the platform → the higher the standard for transparency should be.

🔥 US regulatory FUD strikes Binance again—the investigation isn't over! Per Bloomberg, federal prosecutors in Manhattan are digging back into the archives, investigating whether Binance turned a blind eye to transactions linked to Iran a country currently hit with heavy US sanctions. To recap, CZ previously took the L, pleaded guilty, and shelled out a record-breaking $4.3B fine for money laundering and sanctions violation charges. 👉 If they uncover fresh violations on top of that previous settlement, Binance could be facing a massive legal black swan event. Honestly though, it makes sense. Binance single-handedly holds 60–70% of total market Long/Short liquidations at any given time with that much control, getting targeted by FUD and regulators is just another Tuesday.

CoinEx has announced that it will cease operations. Customers will be able to withdraw their funds until December 22, 2026. Behind CoinEx is ViaBTC Pool, one of the largest Bitcoin mining pools in the world. CoinEx launched around the same time as Binance, and it attracted a large number of users. However, many users mainly joined to sell coins, which caused the exchange to fall far behind. Quite sad to see CoinEx go.
