Yesterday’s arrests in our city underscore that even under new management, ICE continues to overreach. It grabbed at least eight individuals who were going about their morning routines. There is no indication that any of them had criminal records beyond motor vehicle violations.

In 1907, the James B. Congdon School opened its doors to children in the South End. Today was its last opening day, as the new Congdon-DeValles School will open in January. The kids today I suspect were no less excited to begin school than their counterparts 119 years ago.
