Every day, the comment sections on my posts about raped women and children never cease to amaze me.
I see people on the left excusing perpetrators because of their race. Some Restore supporters dismissing victims because of their immigration status. Most Labour supporters blaming victims, and all Greens supporters showing selective outrage depending on the victim's identity.
This is precisely my problem with identity and gender politics. A raped woman or child is a raped woman or child. Their race, ethnicity, religion or nationality is irrelevant.
From what I see, Reform and the Conservatives are the only parties whose supporters consistently challenge this selective outrage. The Conservatives failed us miserably in government, hence the loss of trust, thus their sudden empathy is suspicious
My position is simple. Every victim deserves protection, every perpetrator must be held accountable, neither should be judged by their identity.
Equality, meritocracy and safeguarding without exception. That is what I believe in.
Some of you reveal far more about yourselves in the comment sections than you realise.
