The emphasis in these was on humour, without the usual rhyming structure to the lyrics. Somehow, and surprisingly, they work musically to a degree too. Comedy Club owners are welcome to play these videos at their clubs, free of charge or royalties, with GM Jon’s blessing. The audience might enjoy them while waiting for the comedians to show up. Actually rather amusing watching John Cleese deflecting attacks on him with such humour, ease and class. You are never going to gain ground throwing mud at Basil Fawlty.

I am very proud of the work my GM Jon lyricists do. All of them. Professor Tudor Rickards was the first to join the team, then Steve Tranter and now John F Keane. I produce the music, which is easier than writing lyrics, though I have also written lyrics for some of the songs myself. I would need a lot of convincing before I conceded that there is a better team of songwriters (lyricists) in the country! It is with great pleasure when I release a new album of songs by any of the songwriters and in this case it is the latest album by the poet, John F Keane. Having just considered carefully all the songs for this album, and decided on different versions and different possible orderings, my opinion is that it is an outstanding album. The lyrics, the music, the singing by Tara Turner. Some of the songs have been released earlier as singles, some are new versions especially held back for this album. All fabulous.
