I've started a blog!
Aiming to make a post at least once a month and these posts will sometimes contain my best attempt at a tutorial for whatever I'm working on(sword in this one). It is free and if that kind of thing interests you please check it out!

Today we have an offering to the dark gods! A Bloodthirster, a Great Unclean One, a Warlord Titan and the mighty Khârn.
Which one is your favorite?

ALT Paintover of a red, winged Bloodthirster in black-and-gold armor, wielding an enormous axe and a skull-covered whip amid swirling flames.
ALT Paintover of a Great Unclean One with a skull-like face, coils around its head and a torn, bloated belly, raising one arm amid dusty orange smoke.
ALT Paintover of a Chaos Warlord Titan with skull-like face armor, chained plates, twin shoulder missile launchers and massive arm cannons, emerging from dark orange smoke.
ALT Paintover of Khârn the Betrayer in battered skull-adorned armor, holding a bloodied chainaxe and a glowing pistol while charging across rocky ground amid sparks and flames.
Coming on to be some of the best gold I've painted. It's still too bright in areas I think. It's so hard to leave shadows and not just push every volume super bright. Once the model is painted I will come back to push some darks back in I think
Using richard grays NMM gold tutorial for this mini and while I'm happy with how it's going it is very humbling realising how far I've still got to go. Having a good time with it though
The dead of the Craftworld stride to war! Aeldari Wraithblade painted to tabletop plus standard, featuring crisp black & bone armor, intricate freehand headpiece, and a power blade! ⚡️⚔️ DM for commission inquiries! 🎨📩#Warhammer40k#PaintingWarhammer#Aeldari#Eldar
I also don't like batch painting but I reject this framing. Adapting techniques for batch painting is a skill unto itself and sometimes it does a disservice to army cohesiveness if your skill notably improves across it. Painting at the same level across a project is another skill
I fundamentally find batch painting repulsive.
the whole point of trying to get gud is to outdo yourself and push yourself to paint each miniature better than the last, these 2 are a part of the same ten man squad kit and are 2-3 months apart (i took a break in august and sept)
That's not to say I think what you've done here is "wrong" painting explicitly for model on model improvement is great and a fantastic way to improve. I reject the framing of the post because it leaves out the holistic nature of skills within miniature painting
By the blood of Sanguinius! Lemartes, High Chaplain of the Death Company, is painted to a Tabletop Plus standard. Features sharp armor highlights, skull helm, and glowing lenses! 💀🩸 DM for commission inquiries! 🎨📩

NMM is so, so hard. I saw a post from someone else working on it, and it prompted me to look back through some things I've done over the last couple of years.
NMM is hard, but rewarding after you get the reps in.
Also, to be clear: I'm a mid-level painter at best...
