This is the problem with coaching from the couch. You see half the screen and yell at the TV to throw the ball or step up into the pocket vs a Spy, while on every play, Michiganβs in 7-man pass protection blocking 4-5 at most.
Living in 11T & 12T is limiting yourself to 3-on-6 in the passing game. Tight Ends exist for a reason.
Has QB play been great? No. Neither has OL, TE, WR, RB, etc. This is not a player problem.
Jason Beck schemed 2 open wideouts from a RHINO set but because Underwood doesnβt have any clue what heβs doing, he doesnβt step up in the pocket and makes a bad throw.
The edge rusher is hitting him 10 yards behind the LOS.
What more is Beck supposed to do here ?
