First Amendment Boy Blunder: Sorry @adammocklerr, Trump is not the most "anti-First Amendment President that we've ever had." Just a few examples of actual presidential tyranny: 1. Abraham Lincoln suspended the write of habeas corpus so he could arbitrarily imprison and deport critics of his murderous war. Lincoln, for example, imprisoned the grandson of Francis Scott Key in Fort McHenry for a September 1861 newspaper column opposing the war. Lincoln had former Congressman and 1863 Ohio gubernatorial candidate Clement Vallandigham arrested at night in May 1863, tried by a military kangaroo tribunal and deported for an anti-war speech. Lincoln barred mail delivery of newspapers he didn't like. Lincoln had his opponents arrested at night so no one would see and for terror purposes. 2. John Adams signed the Alien and Sedition Acts and imprisoned critics. 3. Woodrow Wilson signed the Espionage Act and prosecuted and jailed Eugene V. Debs for an anti-war speech in 1918. While Trump has made mistakes in combatting the fake news media, you wake me when someone at CNN is arrested at night, imprisoned and/or deported.
