Happy #PortfolioDay I'm a 3D artist mostly specializing in transforming character concept art from 2D to 3D rigged and animated assets. I also dabble in props, buildings and landscapes for games. See my portfolio here justintphillips.artstation.c…

Realizing correct joint placement in the hand is a milestone in character rigging and topology too.

On this topic about @PlayStation announcing no more discs: I think it's sad but inevitable. Most recent physical PS5 game on my shelf is from 2022...Same on the Switch/2. If you want to save on games, get into the habit of wish-listing and checking for sales every week or two.

Was hoping to wrap up this project inside a month like February but alas, probably need a few more days after getting sick. Still got the two cactus folk textured. Still got the mount and all the props to go. #wip #3dart #substancePainter

Been working on creature models the past few weeks, sculpted first and then modeled to use gradient strips for colors. T-posing so I can rig them. Probably will boost saturation in some spots before Im done. Creature designs by @AdamRyomaTazi #b3d #3dart #creatures #wipart

Sculpted the characters this week. Splayed out the fingers to make texturing easier, at the end I'll pose the fingers back into place to hold the cards right. Retopo over the weekend perhaps. #wipart #3dartwork #wow #witcher #ZBrush

Recently made a re-usable mid-poly hand, one way of using it is post-sculpting, you can place the hand overlapping with a sculpted hand, soft deform the fingers into place, then add a shrinkwrap modifier. Beats doing manual retopo over and over for hands. #b3d #3dartwork
