We can do better — and I’m hopeful our lawmakers will take action on our bill in 2027.

On July 1, Joseph Dixon was sentenced in a King County court for the 2021 murder of Devon Hill and the shooting assault of two other people. Prosecutors requested 81.16 years; the court sentenced Mr. Dixon to 73 years.
