Saw this twosome when leaving a course. No robotic stroller, no cell phone … just a grandma enjoying her family. Just the basics in a topsy / turvy world !!!
During visit to Tufts archives in Pinehurst this cup protects your mustache while having a sip of bourbon. Mr Tufts was ahead of his time. They had sand greens until 1935 so bourbon cured the yips.
Saw this historical display at Ibis CC yesterday. What a great way to demonstrate the timeline of a club and community. Guests and new members can absorb and enjoy the past. So many clubs across the country are passing the 100 year mark .. take pride in your history.
The sign at check in says it all , but the accessories give you all the tools , for the sun , for the bugs ,libations for the yips …so please enjoy the round
Well I took a break from working on some fungal planning and grabbed a piece about books from Forbes. Take a look at what this author would wanna do if he could change things up. At peace with greenskeeping.
So much talk about trees not being relevant on golf courses. Here is a strategic pine that is well cared for and provides a stunning look for a golf course. Turf is important but scenery is also.
Fantastic finishing hole. # 18 at Brae Burn .. gentle uphill tee shot to a “ perched” green that seamlessly blended into clubhouse features. Felt like an Augusta feel oof the tee. Worked well 👌
One of my all time favorite holes. # 17 Rhode Island CC. I have not been there in years and I skipped around to make sure I played it again. It did not disappoint! Donald Ross many thanks for hospitality.
Had a guest courtesy of Pete and Steve at The Park in West Palm Beach. This is Dr Larry Barrett the president of Florida Gateway College of Lake City who continues to support the golf and landscape industry. Larry is attending meetings in South Florida and he updated us. TY
Golf bag and electric bike in Jupiter FL. Last time I saw that was in St Andrews Scotland and rider had wooden woods and a 10 speed bike! Same game🏌🏻♂️though
This morning I visited with Donna at Addison Reserve. This loyal admin assistant has served the club for 29 + years. I wonder how many have been at a club for that long?
A peek at Bok Tower from Mountain Lake GC. A true classic course in Florida ! Hope the restoration goes well … the course character is fabulous already.
A course landscape designer is always observing the beauty of plants. A little walk thru Palm Beach botanical garden rather than practicing putting!!!!🎄🎄⛳️
