KENAS Strengthens Laboratory Capacity Towards ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation KENAS is currently conducting Method Validation and Verification Training for laboratory personnel from the State Department for Mining at Eseriani Hotel, Naivasha, as part of the laboratory’s ongoing journey towards ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation. The training builds on a series of capacity-building interventions undertaken by the team to strengthen its technical competence and laboratory management systems in preparation for accreditation. Method validation and verification are essential components of a competent laboratory system, enabling laboratory personnel to demonstrate that testing methods are fit for their intended purpose, technically valid and capable of producing reliable and consistent results. The training further equips participants to assess method performance, identify potential sources of error and establish confidence in the validity of laboratory results in line with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
