This is the “calm” before a very New England weekend. The nor’easter is starting to make its presence known along the coast, with heavy rain, strong winds and some serious seas rolling in tonight and tomorrow. Batten down the hatches, bring in the porch furniture and keep an eye on the water. 🌊

Our team spent the day gathering pumpkins from our garden and a few of our favorite local farms and hauling them down to Newport. 🎃🇺🇸⚓️ Our shop is officially ready for fall. Come by Bowen’s Wharf and see the display while it’s at its best! 🍂🍁

Yesterday reminded me just how good people can be. I was arranging pumpkins outside our shop on Bowen’s Wharf when our neighbor from across the way came over with a little gift bag, gave me a hug, and said, “You’re a great pumpkin, too.” Inside was It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It made my whole day. There’s something special about having a little shop in a place where people walk across the street just to make a neighbor smile. Good old fashioned kindness is still alive and well. 🥹🎃🧡
