Thank you to all the men and women who showed up on 9/11 to serve, rescue, protect, comfort, and carry others through the unimaginable, and to those who continue to carry the torch today.
Here’s a memory of Kayleigh and her Momma at the 9/11 memorial reflection pool.
❤️🇺🇸🙏
Before there was a KLT Foundation, there was Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland — known to most as Kayleigh.
Kayleigh was full of life — curious, artistic, musical, independent, and always willing to try something new. 🧵
She loved her family and her friends, and she was almost always dancing, singing, twirling, laughing, hugging or loving somebody.
She had a way of drawing people in and making people feel like they belonged.
There is so much we could tell you about Kayleigh, and over time, we will.
But today, we simply want you to meet the girl behind the name.
This is Kayleigh.
Intimately familiar with unexpected loss, I recognize the weight many in the Bitcoin community are carrying. The following article is my reflection on what creation asks of us, the value of open collaboration, and how we steward freedom tech.
We’re honored to share this story of compassion and grateful for @FMKRestaurants commitment to caring for families during one of life’s most difficult seasons.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of @FMKRestaurants, families served through the Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation’s Grief Week receive more than a warm meal. They’re reminded that their community is walking beside them.💛
Every detail carried meaning. Even her light blue costume, chosen because it was the color of his favorite soccer team. And accompanied by Courage by Céline Dion, this performance reminds us that music and movement can express what the heart struggles to say.
At the Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation, we believe healing takes many forms. Whether through music, dance, art, or simply sharing our stories, creative expression can help us honor those we love and carry them with us.
Sometimes words are too small for the weight of grief.
For Isabella, dance became the language of love, remembrance, and healing as she dedicated this beautiful solo to her brother, 🩶Ethan🩵. 🧵
NEW: @HRF just released “Bitcoin for Nonprofits: A Guide To Help Your Movement Achieve Financial Freedom.”
The guide is a free resource for activists and civil society who need a financial tool no regime can freeze and no bank can block.

From the Mind of a Mourning Mother
I want to run away from this so bad…
but there’s nowhere to go
that takes me away from losing her.

From the Mind of a Mourning Mother
I hate the gifts we’ve received…
even though I’m grateful.
We only have them because she died.
