If we didn’t have the next gen car I personally believe Kyle Larson would have won the 2022-2026 Championships because that gen car was bad to the bone in 2021. Based on that season alone I don’t see how anyone could compete with him if they didn’t bring in the new car.

We live in a time where everyone wants to live in the past. Like stop with the past, it doesn’t matter anymore. What matters is what is now. Every title is legitimate because they ran under the same format. People need to stop trying to argue what’s legit and not.
Under any legitimate full season format Larson would still be 3-4 full races behind Hamlin. The chase still has the same core issue as the playoffs, undeserving champions.
