Prince George’s County police said the shooting victim was in stable condition when they issued their update. She is the suspect’s girlfriend, according to KMNONSCENE’s information; police did not specify their relationship in that update. About 10 minutes after the shooting, officers stopped an SUV in a shopping center in the 4800 block of St. Barnabas Road. Police said they called a barricade response after the driver did not answer commands to exit. Officers later found him dead inside with a gun. Police believe he shot himself and, based on their preliminary investigation, believe he was the suspect in the earlier shooting. The investigation is ongoing.

Woman found dead after reported Aldie shooting; suspect sought An adult woman was found dead Tuesday afternoon after Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 24000 block of Quimby Oak Place in Aldie. The Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called at approximately 12:10 p.m. Investigators have identified a male suspect and are actively working to locate him. Authorities said the incident appears domestic in nature but have not released the suspect’s identity or description. Man hospitalized after shooting on Chesapeake Street SE WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metropolitan Police Department officers are investigating a shooting in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street SE on Monday, September 21. The shooting was confirmed in an AlertDC notice issued at 10:19 a.m. EDT. The notice did not give the time the shooting occurred. An adult man was taken to a hospital conscious and breathing, according to information KMNONSCENE obtained in a phone call with MPD. His current condition has not been released. Police had issued no suspect lookout when the AlertDC notice was sent. No arrest or circumstances leading to the shooting have been confirmed.

BLADENSBURG, Md. — Prince George’s County police are searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle following an encounter in which an officer discharged a weapon early Sunday morning. Police said officers initially attempted to stop a silver Hyundai sedan before its driver fled. Officers encountered the vehicle again at Annapolis Road and Edmonston Road at approximately 3:55 a.m. During the second encounter, an officer discharged a duty weapon, according to police. Investigators said there is currently no evidence that anyone inside the Hyundai was struck, although the driver and vehicle remain missing. Police believe additional passengers may have been inside. No officers were injured. Police have not disclosed what prompted the officer to fire or why officers initiated the original traffic stop. Pedestrian Killed in Overnight Poolesville Hit-and-Run; Driver Sought POOLESVILLE, Md. — Montgomery County police are searching for a driver who left the scene after fatally striking a pedestrian early Sunday morning. Officers were called to Fisher Avenue and Milford Mill Road at approximately 1:51 a.m. on September 20. Investigators believe an unidentified vehicle struck a 27-year-old man near 19630 Fisher Avenue before leaving the scene. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said. His identity has not been released pending notification of his family. Detectives believe the driver may have continued west on Fisher Avenue toward Elgin Road. The vehicle and driver have not been identified. The Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating.

According to information published by FOX 5 citing Montgomery County Police, 33-year-old Nicholas Njuki was shot and killed after an argument that reportedly began inside Quincy’s Bar and Grill in the Potomac Woods Plaza off Seven Locks Road. Witnesses told investigators the dispute was over a UFC fight. Police say the confrontation eventually moved into the parking lot. Njuki and a friend reportedly left the bar together and were driving away when the shooting occurred. Authorities have charged Solimani Damabi with first-degree murder and released his photograph while asking the public for help locating him. Forbes has been missing since September 4, when MPD says she was last seen in the 3200 block of Nebraska Avenue NW. Investigators have repeatedly been seen at her home, photographing the property and examining her vehicle. KMNONSCENE is now following reports that MPD investigators collected clothing and other potential evidence from Forbes’ home as the investigation continues. I have not yet found an official MPD statement explaining what those items are, why they were collected, or whether investigators consider them evidence of a crime, so we should not speculate about their significance. The circumstances surrounding Forbes’ disappearance have drawn growing concern. Her family and friends say her phones, wallet, keys and other belongings were left at the home, her vehicle remained outside, and her dog was also left behind. Her former partner, Russell Ashford, was arrested in Pennsylvania on an unrelated Maryland probation-violation warrant. Authorities have not charged him in connection with Forbes’ disappearance or publicly identified him as a suspect or person of interest in the missing-person investigation.
