I said this yesterday and I’ll say it again today:
The Steelers need to run more gap and duo schemes against Dexter Lawrence.
Lawrence is too powerful and explosive to constantly reach block him. You need better angles to stop his penetration. Gap and duo is the way to go.

Outside zone is Mike McCarthy’s favorite run play, and I expect the Steelers to call it often this week vs CIN. But if they’re struggling to handle Dexter Lawrence on OZ runs, there’s an alternative.
Here’s why the Duo scheme may give them a better chance to handle Lawrence:

Tough assignment for Hoffman with Dexter Lawrence looming but that's a better matchup for PIT than Anderson presents. Love getting IMAX out there, too. Let that kid play. There will be growing pains but the ceiling is so high.
Could change be coming to the right side of the OL?

With Lawrence dominating the A-gaps for CIN, this should be a big outside zone game for PIT. They have a dominant edge blocker in Washington. Time to lean into 12p.

With Dart finished, and Jameis Winston the only active QB on NY's roster, the Giants need to make a move.
Would John Harbaugh consider trading for Mason Rudolph? At this point, Rudolph may be Harbaugh's best option.
Then again, Rudolph might be PIT's best option, too...
Breaking: Jaxson Dart is expected to have knee surgery that will lead to a full recovery, but end his 2026 season, sources told @RapSheet and @MikeGarafolo.
Dart suffered damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus with the meniscus being the main issue, sources tell @AdamSchefter.

Under-center snap % in the NFL has increased each year since 2023, from 28.7 to 42.4 so far this season.
Why? With many defenses now playing a Fangio-style split-safety scheme, offenses are attacking more with the run. One play that hits better from under center is outside zone:
