The #BalticHarbourPorpoise deserves more attention. We have our own little whale in the Baltic Sea! But with only ~500 individuals left, it's hardly ever seen.
Let's change that! 🐬
It’s #WorldWhaleWeek! Did you know we have whales right here in our Baltic Sea? 🐬🌍
But the Baltic harbour porpoise is being pushed to extinction from bycatch, noise, pollution, overfishing and climate change. Only <500 individuals remain.

Actions have impact! Now more is needed to recude eutrophication in the #BalticSea.
🚨New research shows that without nutrient reduction efforts, #BalticSea dead zones (black) would be >80% larger! We've avoided disaster, but much more action is needed to create a healthy sea and to bend the curve on biodiversity loss.
