The position I want to open on
@purintaxyz is a small
$SPX ticket.
I would deposit SPX as collateral and borrow a limited amount of USDC against it enough to use, not enough to live against the liquidation line. In an Isolated market, same design as the rest of the app: the coins stay mine, the cash comes out, and a failure in some other meme does not follow me into this one.
I am not starting from zero. I already have 1.38M
$PEPE posted, now worth $5.69, with 0.97 USDC borrowed. Rate on that loan is 0.19%. I sold none of the PEPE. That position taught me the size I actually want. When I opened it the net rate was negative; that has gone, and I still have not repaid, because the point was never the headline yield. The point was idle coins doing a job without being sold.
SPX is the next one I want for a simple reason. I already have PEPE working. I do not want to fatten that single loan until one dip decides the whole story. A second, separate SPX position lets me take another slice of liquidity while the PEPE stays where it is.
I open the SPX loan if I still want the token and I can keep the LTV obviously below the threshold after I borrow. I add to it only on the same test.
I never open it or I close it quickly if SPX is already sliding toward liquidation, if I need the collateral back, or if the rate on a tiny loan is no longer worth the attention. The PEPE position gets the same rule. Two small tickets. Neither one allowed to become the only thing I am watching.
