A week or two ago Israeli media says the UAE warned Netanyahu that Oct 7 was coming. That’s the negligence-or-worse story his own public already half believed, and the reason the Oct 27 vote is supposed to end him. So he goes to Abu Dhabi, three days ago, to get bin Zayed to deny it.
He comes home and tells Israel a terror attack is coming before the election. His own security people say they have nothing. The opposition calls it fear for the polls. Next day a flight out of Abu Dhabi — the city he just left — gets taken by a lone wolf trying to kill hundreds of Israelis.
UAE’s one of the few Arab states that actually deals with Israel, and it’s already in a shipping fight with Iran. Fuentes’ question is what got traded in that room.
