Kaspa Class : Learn How Kaspa is building the Future of Crypto with Innovation, Speed and Security

In a decentralized 🌍
🧵Not $BTC vs $KAS , It's Bigger Than That ! The last few days have been intense between BTC and KAS communities. But this isn’t about who’s “right.” It’s about what each side isn’t seeing. This thread connects dots many aren’t seeing👇

$KAS - did you know that… 👇
kaspa is an open network for money and apps, secured by proof of work. you can transact without needing anyone’s approval. devs can build assets and contracts with rules the network itself enforces. miners compete to produce blocks through computing power and electricity, not the size of their KAS wallet. an attacker trying to undo a confirmed transaction has to compete against the combined mining power of the entire honest network while it keeps mining. even then, they can’t make nodes accept transactions that break the rules. kaspa includes and orders blocks mined in parallel, so miners blocks aren’t discarded simply for losing a race. those frequent blocks let the network reach agreement in seconds while keeping bitcoin’s proof-of-work security principles. kaspa calls this real-time decentralization.

🚨 $KAS miners using K1 Pool need to be aware of what is happening with their hashrate! ⚠️ Kaspa miners are pointing their ASICs to K1 to mine KAS Yet that same HR is also being used to merge-mine another coin, including miners who never opted in or gave explicit consent! 🧵👇

6. This is bigger than one additional coin. It's about the relationship between a mining pool and the miners trusting it with their hashrate. KAS miners deserve to know where their hashrate is being used, what it is generating, and under which terms...

7. Every #Kaspa miner using K1Pool deserves to know how their hashrate is being used. If you know someone mining Kas on K1, tag them. Repost this thread. Spread awareness. Miners deserve transparency and clear terms! Your hardware! Your hashrate! Your right to choose!⚡

$KAS what are your thoughts on merged mining? From a Kas miner’s perspective I struggle to see the downside. Essentially the same CAPEX/OPEX, same hashrate but an additional revenue stream if Zkas becomes valuable Is there any downside for #Kaspa miners?
It’s not two separate mining jobs. One mining process → two possible rewards. Same kHeavyHash work No second mining rig required No separate algorithm to learn ZKAS does not take your KAS hashrate ZKAS has its own difficulty #ZKAS #Kaspa #KAS #kHeavyHash #Asics #CryptoMining

Huge thank you to all the $KAS devs! 💚 What makes this community special isn’t just the technology, but the incredible people building, contributing, supporting, and believing in it every single day. Devs & community. One vision, one mission, one Kaspa family!
To be frank, joining this forum comes with some discomfort for me. I’m used to taking ownership of core tech that might otherwise remain unbuilt (compilers included). Taking part in ecosystem-wide coordination is a different kind of ownership, and not one I seek for its own sake. But as Kaspa’s native application layer grows, shared conventions are becoming too important for us to simply assume they will emerge on their own. When gaps persist, those with the relevant knowledge should take responsibility rather than wait. My ideal outcome is for serious contributors from across the ecosystem to join, take real ownership of the work, and eventually make my role here unnecessary. That would be a sign of success to me.

Why did you choose merge-mining with $KAS over your own miners' interests? What's the $ZKAS devs connection to Kaspa that led to this choice? I'm neutral on the project, even though I ve been keeping an eye on it since its launch but still making my research...
When made a decision to be merged mined with kaspa:native from block 1, our own miners were unhappy - they would receive more $ZKAS if we stayed on own algo or on KheavyHash without merged mining. We chose this way to reward #Kaspa miners to partially solve its network security problem - help where we were able to. Every hate message we get is a message to any developers who are building for/with Kaspa. Highly appreciate those who see positivity in ZKas or just watch it neutrally. We will keep building ZKas - fastest privacy L1.

“If it’s not Bitcoin, it’s a shitcoin.” BIP-110 Soft Fork now, a HF next… and suddenly Bitcoiners may have to decide which Bitcoiners are the shitcoiners. 🤔 Either way, they’re getting a taste of their own maximalism! 👀 🍿

$KAS, are you already aware? Any thoughts? Well... the time has come. The BTC chain split I talked about, for the end of August has already happened. Now the question is: how will this play out? 👀
$KAS What’s your take on Bitcoin BIP-110?Feels like it could have serious implications either way. A chain split around late Aug / early Sept isn’t impossible. Curious how this plays out...🤔

Congrats to $KAS on the successful Toccata HF! 🎉 But why is almost no one talking about the higher minimum tx fee introduced with Toccata? 🤔 Feels like most of the #Kaspa community isn’t even aware this changed, or how important it is...

$KAS 1. A $BTC 2-BLOCK reorg happened and the data is interesting... Foundry ended up mining 7 blocks in a row, and the timing around blocks 941882 & 941883 raises questions about a possible selfish-mining style strategy
We just had a rare-ish two block fork/reorg between Foundry and AntPool+ViaBTC. Foundry mined six blocks in a row. bnoc.xyz/t/two-block-reorg-a…

4/4 This sequence : Withholding a block and releasing it together with the next one to win the fork, is a classic pattern discussed in selfish mining research. Not claiming intent, but the timing makes it an interesting case study! PS: I've warned about this some times ago...

$KAS Familiar with Eyal & Sirer’s “Majority Is Not Enough” paper ? Selfish mining gets profitable past 33% hashrate & that’s where consensus integrity cracks! $BTC Foundry USA is now at ~30.23%, getting uncomfortably close to that threshold. Should we be worried?
